So, it's the summer holidays here in the UK and we've been up to the usual: beach combing, days out, walking the dog, finding kryptonite... y'know, same old same old.
When I say 'we' I mean I give full credit to my little girl who spotted it after I'd walked right past it. Clearly, my in-built geology sensors were off that day! I have no idea what it is but it's beautiful. I think it's the wrong sort of green for copper but what do I know (to be clear, almost nothing about geology)?
I wet it for the photos to show the colour of course but it does have a rather glassy finish in some places. I do have a little emerald crystal that is similar in it's make-up but more bluey in tone and I say that as comparison rather than out of hope :-) Any input as to what it might be is most welcome!
